Welcome to Bonnie Brae
For the latest information, visit our What’s Up page. Bonnie Brae is located in southeast metropolitan Denver. The winding streets, mature trees and friendly neighbors makes this one of Denver’s most treasured communities. Developed in the early 1900’s, the homes range from original smaller but unique houses, to multi-million dollar custom built homes. Our neighborhood of approximately 600 homes maintains strong home prices, a testament to the desirability of living near the center of a major metropolitan city, with parks, restaurants and shopping all within a few miles.
Bonnie Brae has an organized neighborhood association – the Bonnie Brae Neighborhood Association (BBNA). We partner with our active Merchants Association, our City Council and the City of Denver. The BBNA holds an annual picnic each year in late summer at Bonnie Brae Park. This event is a great opportunity to meet neighbors if you are new to the neighborhood or re-connect with those you have not seen in a while. The picnic is also the venue for our one all-neighbor meeting including elections for the Bonnie Brae Neighborhood Association Board. The board meets on a regular basis, coordinates the annual picnic, maintains the BBNA website, provides updated and news via email and acts as a liason with the city of Denver. Additionally, the zoning committee reviews any pending zoning requests. Our goal is to share information and provide a conduit with the city, assist in community development and facilitate any efforts to improve quality of life in Bonnie Brae.
Bonnie Brae Annual Picnic – Sunday, Sept. 10, 11:30 a.m. – 2:30 p.m.
Make sure to mark your calendars for the upcoming Annual Bonnie Brae Picnic! The popular event starts at 11:30 p.m.; food will be be served at noon. In addition to the traditional hamburgers and brats, many of our local neighborhood sponsors will be supplying some tasty additions such as pizza, ice cream and cake. Please feel free to bring your favorite side dish to share if you are so inclined.
For the kids, we will have a face painter and the annual bike parade!
We are looking for a few strong and bold to help with set-up for the picnic. Anyone who has some time to help, please come to the park at 10 a.m.
