Hard as it might be to believe, Bonnie Brae turns 100 next year. It was in 1923 that a mortician and casket manufacturer named George Olinger bought the parcel of prairie that we now call home.
We’d like to invite you to participate in planning for this occasion. If you’re interested in researching the history of the neighborhood, lending historical documents or photos, interviewing long-time residents, or planning an event, we’d love to hear from you.
There’s much to be done and that’s why board members Dan Danbom and David Anderson, co-chairs of the Bonnie Brae Neighborhood Centennial Committee, are getting an early start. Click here if you’re interested in what promises to be a fun and rewarding exercise.
